Concentrates
Fruitridge Health and Wellness Collective carries a wide variety of concentrates for our patients. Many people are unfamiliar with concentrates, they are, as their name suggests, a concentrated dose of medical marijuana including hashish, kief, tinctures, oils, cannabuter, THC pills, and many other similar products.
What is Kief?

Kief refers to the loose, dried resin glands (trichomes) of mature cannabis flowers. Kief contains a much higher concentration of psychoactive ingredients ( THC ) than ordinary preparations of cannabis buds. Traditionally kief has been pressed and baked into cakes as hashish, but can be vaporized in powder form. You can collect keif through a grinder, sifter, or other type of screen. In some grinders with a special compartment for kief collection, grinding your medicine will cause the loose THC crystals to be sifted through a screen and into a special compartment at the bottom of the grinder. You can use the kief to strengthen your dose by sprinkling it on top of your desired form of medication.
What is Hash?
Hashish is the result of processing the loose, dry, resin glands ( kief) of the mature female cannabis plant, usually compressed with an extraction method. It contains the same active ingredients but in higher concentrations than other parts of the plant such as the buds or the leaves. Hashish is often a paste-like substance with varying hardness and pliability. Its color is most commonly light to dark brown but can vary toward green, yellow, black, reddish. Hashish is heated in a screened miniature smoking pipe, bong, smoked in joints mixed with cannabis, or cooked in foods.
What are Tinctures?
A tincture is a substance such as cannabis stored in a solvent liquid mixture (Ours are in Agave Nectar). It is a very effective way to use medical cannabis. Drops of the tincture are placed under the tongue and the medication passes through the blood vessels and enters the bloodstream. You will feel the onset of effects in about 5 – 15 minutes with the peak effect at about 30 minutes after taking the medication. For many patients, the effects are similar to inhaled cannabis. Ask a budtender about our Apple Agave Nectar Tinctures.<
